CONCEPT

Dou is a collection of audieres sculpted anatomically, establishing a connection between the body and the designed object to create the feeling of being held and embraced. This initial collection consists of nine unique fashion sculptures. Each piece molds to a different part of the body. Interaction with the audieres provides nurturing self-embrace and comfort for the body. The metallic and crystal surface of the audieres invite moments of self reflection. Each piece of the collection stands on its own as a sculptural contemplation of ourselves. As individuals, we need to learn to face ourselves, be alone with ourselves, and embrace ourselves.
